2012 Chunkster Reading Challenge

I do have a 2011 recap post coming up, but I’ve been sick all year (hardy har har) and just haven’t gotten around to it. I have managed to apply to give away books during World Book Night 2012, and I’ve signed up for the 2012 Chunkster Reading Challenge. I’m committing to the “Do These Books Make My Butt Look Big” level, which means I must read 6 books of more than 450 pages. I actually have 8 on my list, mostly because several of these are cross-overs from the TBR challenge.

Humboldt’ Gift by Saul Bellow – 487 pages

Streets of Loredo by Larry McMurtry – 547 pages

Collected Stories of Mark Twain – 679 pages

Sabbath’s Theater by Philip Roth – 451 pages

The Blind Assassin by Margaret Atwood – 521 pages

In This Our Life by Ellen Glasgow – 467 pages

Dragon’s Teeth by Upton Sinclair – 578 pages

The Travels of Jaimie McPheeters by Robert Lewis Taylor – 535 pages

  1. Your list looks great! The Blind Assassin is a book I also want to get to for the challenge. I hope you’re feeling much better and that this year is one of your best. Thanks for signing up for the challenge.
